Frequently Asked Questions

How is Paragon Skin Center Medical Spa different from a salon and spa?

A medical spa is a facility whose programs, services, and procedures are directed by a physician. A medical spa differs from a day spa or salon in two ways. Both medical and cosmetic treatments are offered within the facility, thus promoting a more comprehensive approach in caring for the client before, during, and after the treatment or procedure takes place.

Additionally, the medical spa offers a higher grade product and therefore, the spa services show greater results. A physician is always on the premises at Paragon Skin Center Medical Spa.

What is a complimentary skin care analysis?

A complimentary skin care analysis consists of a thorough session with our medical aesthetician or registered nurse designed to help you ascertain the best plan for your individualized optimal skin health. Is the condition of your skin the best that it can be? How can you make it healthier? What products are best suited to your skin type? How can you protect your skin from sun exposure, dryness and premature aging? Paragon’s skin care analysis, free to all clients, can help you answer these questions and arrive at a customized daily skin care routine perfect for you.

Will insurance cover products, treatment or cosmetic surgery?

In general, insurance will not cover products, spa treatments, or elective cosmetic surgical procedures. In certain circumstances, cosmetic surgery may possibly be covered if it considered necessary to correct deformities (for example, nasal fracture deformities caused from accidents). Each situation is individually evaluated between your doctor and your insurance company.
